The geometry for the measurement and the polarization of the radiation source dictates a pair of corrections, usually combined, and known as such as the Lorentz-Polarization correction/indexLorentz-Polarization correction—textbf. This is applied automatically by GSAS-II, where the only adjustable term that is used is one for the instrument polarization.
