Plane restraints are used to restrain atoms to lie on a plane. The notebook tab for them is labeled “Plane”. One selects four or more atoms and the least-squares plane is computed for those atoms and the root-mean-square distance of the atoms from that plane. This is mostly used in macromolecular crystallography. I have never needed this constraint.
